Our lake home offers a panoramic view of a private spring fed lake with all the modern conveniences to make this your home away from home. Please make sure you visit the state DNR website to ensure you are properly licensed to fish in the state of Minnesota. - Feel free to use the grill outside that is set up for our guests’ to enjoy. - The home is functioning off of a brand new well system and is regularly tested for safe consumption. That said, it is high in minerals and has a taste that is different than treated city water. If you're used to city water, you may want to plan to pick up bottled water that better meets your preferences. For your convenience, we do have a Culligan's filtered water service that provides cold & hot water for beverages. The water should not be used for cooking. Please be mindful of your consumption of the Culligan water as this is provided as a courtesy to our guests as an alternative to drinking the tap water. The water is delivered on a monthly basis and will NOT be replenished in between these deliveries. - The grill is to be used by adults and registered guests only. Please clean up after yourselves - we want to protect the environment and will not tolerate trash being left outside. If found dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required. - Please acknowledge that from occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. Lake home that sleeps 15! Two Full bedrooms + one 'nook' with a bunk bed. One 1/2 bath and one full bath & laundry in the main cabin. New in July 2013, we added a detached 'guest cabin' that sleeps another 6 people! Wake up and enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the lake from the Kitchen table or the deck with a cup of coffee in hand! Fire pit with plenty of firewood stacked up for hours of campfire fun! Don't forget to bring smore's stuff! Swingset for the kiddos, and a nice big swing that overlooks the lake for the couples. Swim raft with a fun twisty slide provides hours of fun for the kids (or adults!). Lounge on the lake, fish off the dock, or bring up your boat for some fun boating! You are able to swim right off the dock. Gas grill is also provided. In the winter months, state trails for snowmobiling are located just a few miles from our cabin. They are easily accessible from the cabin, so no need to trailer sleds to the trails, simply ride across the lake and pick up the trail all the way to Duluth. Mora is also the home for the cross country ski race Vasaloppet USA, every February. Most of all, come ready to have fun, relax, and leave feeling refreshed!

You can fish right off the dock or bring your boat (public landing just minutes away) and explore approximately 1500 acres of recreational enjoyment. Plus there are over an additional 1000 acres of water accessible thru a short channel to East Rush Lake! What could be better? Islands, bays, restaurants, sunrises and sunsets all just waiting for you to enjoy! You can enjoy looking at the lake from the new deck off the main level or from the expansive patio below. One of my favorite things is sitting with a cup of coffee on the second deck, the "sunrise" deck, aptly named for the view. The new cedar deck off the living room has comfortable seating and a gas grill for your use. A cozy fire pit on the patio is surrounded by comfy furniture for relaxing evenings and reminiscing. The cabin is situated on part of a peninsula which adds more privacy and lake views. The neighborhood bar/restaurant, Grumpy Minnow, is a quick 5 min. boat ride around the bend or a 15 min. walk thru the neighborhood. Flickabird's is another lakeside bar/restaurant that is accessible thru the channel to East Rush Lake and a marina. The cabin has 4 bedrooms: *Large Masterbdrm - Queen bed plus room for a Queen size air mattress *Lakeside bdrm - Full bed *Cottage bdrm - Queen bed *Twin bdrm - 2 twin beds *There are 2 bathrooms with showers. *The kitchen has a long breakfast bar that comes in handy for buffet meals or a quiet breakfast looking out over the trees and lake. There are many wineries and antique shops in the area so there’s always something to do. Ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are perfect winter activities along with a good book snuggled up to the fireplace. Our winter rates are $175 per night, summer rates are $325 per night. There is a 2 night minimum Sept. thru May and a 5 night minimum June thru August with a 10% discount for 7 or more nights. One RV/camper is allowed only with prior approval and an additional fee, no hookups allowed. Pets are welcome with prior approval, limit of 60 pounds, as well as a $150 pet fee each. Casting right off the dock is a hot spot for pan fish as well. The cabin’s recently remodeled kitchen has all the tools and cooking equipment you might need along with a gas grill on the large deck. If you’d rather go out to eat, there are two restaurants right on the lake. Cambridge is a short drive away and has a variety of restaurants and stores for your shopping needs. There’s a bowling alley, apple orchard, two golf courses and winery all within 15 minutes. Rainy day? No problem, Grand Casino Hinkley is about a half hour away. New in 2021 - there is wi-fi! So if you need to get some work done while at the lake, you have that option. The best months to swim are June and July; in August, the bay gets slightly green depending on the day, so if you are hoping to spend a lot of time swimming off the dock, our cabin may not be the best fit for you. Sorry, we cannot accommodate bach parties/rowdy groups. We want to respect our neighbors' space and keep that a positive relationship. Our county has a noise ordinance/curfew from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. that we need to follow so we can respect our neighbors. Amazing location for fishing and kayaking. This tiny house was built from a reclaimed Boar's Head refrigeration container and recycled materials. It includes a full over full bunk bed in which the top bunk folds up for more headroom. The bay window and table can seat up to seven and convert into a large bed. The home was just placed on a secluded and serene point on the Rum River. It overlooks 2 islands. 2 Solar Shower bags are available that can be filled by guests. Write us for more details. Its beautiful land. I put up a tent at the top of my hill on the wood line by my deer stand. Camping toilet out there. I have camping chairs waiting up there. I have a sled to drag stuff up you need. Small grill will be up there, fire pit. Its about a half mile walk to the spot. Dogs have to be contained, I can provide up to 2 ground ties. My cats do run around my yard in the summer so dogs have to be good. I will sell bundles of wood for $4 each upon arrival, cash or paypal. I have to buy myself for this reason. I will provide a roll of camping toilet paper. Remember you are in the country where there is every wild Mn animal living out here except moose. Especially coyote and deer every where.
